A matter of Time

Look out from your window every morning and you will see uncountable poeple from all walks of life rushing to a place called 'work'. Why do these people really invest strength and time as well as money and desire in this work is the question that poses itself. The answer is just simple; they want to leave a mark or at least carve a social class and status of their own. Good!

While others take delight in legal and socially acceptable profession, others prefer the other side of the coin not because they have no employable skills but simply because they want to get to their dreams hastily. This however cost these class of people who  defiles the socially acceptable means of living their own lives and sometimes that of their families. It could also take their personal freedom for ever by ending up in life imprisonment.

But if i may ask, is it expedient to risk our lives and that of our families just because of wealth or class. A big NO is your answer i guess! Why then do we still see robbery and all forms of duping and other socially unacceptable trades around? The answer is TIME. Those people have lost all theiir patience in working or otherwise to achieve a particular thing they want. Of course, we can't leave out those who shed blood for money and other things and those for sacrifice huge sums of money to get a child!

I strongly believe that we all have an aorta of religion in us which should tell us as Christians and Muslims or other that the 'God' of our belief does things according to His own time and calendar. Why then do we consult our human wisdon and knowledge in attaining the things we need.

For us Christians seeking wealth and other things like bearing a child, we are surrounded by a pool of witnesses from the bible. The account of our father Abraham and his wife Sarah conclude it all for those of us looking for children. Likewise the restoration of Job to his wealth does it for those who have lost great wealth and others in pain.

Therefore, if all of us could exercise some extent of patience and give God the chance to perfect His will concerning the lives of you and I, things would change for us.  David said in Ps 40:1 that he waited patiently for the Lord and He inclined unto him and heard his cry. We can do likewise but the most important of it is the patience we attach to it. We can wait but not in patience and then also not upon the Lord.

Beloved, Let us learn to wait upon the Lord in patience as He does His perfect things in His own appointed time. God knows we are suffering, but  His time has it that it will come to an end, He knows that we are in need of healing and material things but His time has it  that we shall be strong in wallow in abundance.

It's all a matter of time and obedience to our creator for 'the blessing of the Lord maketh man rich and addeth no surrow with it' (Proverbs 10:22). Thank you.
