The dismissal of Nana Kesse, who allegedly took President Kufuor’s name to a jujuman, was contained in a statement announcing a nominee for the recently elevated Kwahu West district, which is now a municipality.
A Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Environment statement issued in Accra on Thursday and signed by the Minister, Kwadwo Adjei-Darko announced Amoako Mensah as the new Municipal Chief Executive for the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, Nkawkaw.
The outgoing DCE was alleged to have instructed a jujuman in Brong Ahafo Region to kill some of his targets, including the MP for the area, Kwabena Okerchire Adusah and turn others into “gyimi gyimi”(imbeciles) with further directive that the President’s mind should be tuned to him alone in the matter of Kwahu West.
Even though the embattled ex-DCE denied the authorship of the notes sent to the jujuman, forensic test exposed him as the brain behind the letters.
Other nominees are Albert Boakye Okyere, Ashaiman; Nii Noi Aduamoah, Adenta; Gilbert Amoako, Upper - Denkyira West; David Biwiir Nyamei, Saboba and Samuel Konadu, Sekyere East.
The rest are: Jerry Yakubu Yahaya, Bole; James Fosu, Bosomtwi; Gabriel Y. Amoah, Bosome Freho; Denis Armah-Frimpong, Agona East; Abdul Karim Boakye-Yiadom, Asante Akyem South and Bintu Ibrahim Farizana, Tain. Ms Bintu Ibrahim Farizana was formerly the DCE for Wenchi. |
